Preparation for the conference, Dean of the Diwaniya Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Zaid Maen Al-Dilimi, in the closing speech of the conference, the most important recommendations of the conference, he emphasized the importance of providing applied scientific research and utilizing the labor market service in developing and supporting the sector.
Here is a summary of the recommendations contained in the closing statement of the Third International Congress on Engineering and Science for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals:
■ Climate measures :
Discussing strategies to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change.
■ Clean and available energy:
Focusing on innovations in renewable energy technology and policies.
■ Sustainable Cities and Communities: Urban planning and development for the achievement of sustainable and strong cities.
■ Quality education: Strengthening education systems to encourage lifelong and holistic learning.
■Good Health and Wellbeing**: Addressing global health challenges and improving healthcare systems.
■ Partnership to achieve goals:
Strengthening international cooperation and partnerships between various parties to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
The conference also included a recommendation to form an advisory committee of specialists in Iraqi universities to pursue the Sustainable Development Programs.
This and the closing session witnessed the distribution of commemorative shields to participating universities and the conference shield to researchers, presidents, members of the preparatory, scientific committees and the supporters.
