The activities of the 18th International Scientific Conference of the Middle-Technical University and the fourth of the Samawa Technical Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, launched in partnership with my universities (Swedish Lin Koping and the Ukrainian Sumy State University), with the aim of building bridges of scientific communication and developing research and educational capacities in keeping with global updates, in the Samawa Technical University Rehab and was in Their reception was Professor Dr. Sabah Mohammed Al-Matouki, Dean of the Institute and the Advanced Angel.

The conference aims to exchange experiences among participating universities and enhance capabilities in the field of engineering and applied sciences.

The events of the conference were attended by the representative of the H.E. Minister, Mr. President of the University, Mr. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, Chairman of the Council of Al-Muthna Governorate, Mr. Ahmed Mohsen Daryol, Member of the Governorate Council, Mr. Ehsan Abu Jabla, Mr. Mohammed Garioud, Mr. Falah Al-Musawi from the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations, and Assistant Governor for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Sami Sahib.

A number of honorable presidents of governmental, family and international circles participated in the conference, in addition to the presence of honorable, Assistant President of the University, a number of deans of faculties, institutes, their assistants, directors of departments and a group of specialists and researchers.

The conference began with the recitation of one of the wise men followed by listening to the Iraqi national anthem.

Al-Zubaidi noted in the opening speech that the conference provides a good opportunity for researchers and stakeholders to exchange insights, ideas and experiences on topics relevant to the conference’s topics.

He points out the importance of holding a conference as it discusses important topics to achieve its goals in the matter

■ He thanked His Excellency Minister Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, for his generous sponsorship of this conference, and his continuous diligence in supporting scientific research and academic institutions.

■And this conference that celebrates science and scientists, brings together the elite of researchers and specialists from all over the world.

■Today, I am proud that the Al-Frat Inter-Technical University embraces this prestigious scientific concert, a university that has scientific roots in five Iraqi governorates, where its formations are distributed along the Al-Furat coast, from Najaf to Babel, from Qadisiyah to Karbala and Mutanna.

■ Last year, the Faculty of Engineering Technology of Oil and Energy spoke, and in the Kufa urges our angels to achieve a quality event, which is the first of its kind in Iraq, a high institute of nanotechnology, and is preparing to start its first teaching hospital, in cooperation with the local government in Al-Najaf.

■ He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the scientific, organizational and administrative committees based on this conference, who have worked with dedication and sincerity throughout the past months, to bring this scientific event out in a picture befits our University and our dear Iraq. All praise and gratitude are due to them.

■ This conference represents an international scientific demonstration of quality, and it has seen a wide turnout that reflects its importance, when the number of submitted researches (700) exceeded seven hundred researches, (382) three hundred and eighty of which were final accepted, (108) and one hundred and eight researches that were initially accepted,

Out of 15 fifteen sister and friendly countries, in addition to Iraq, among them: the United States of America, France, Britain, Canada, Malaysia, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Lebanon, and Jordan, reflect the increasing confidence in Iraqi academic institutions, and at the level of scientific research in them.

■ We renew our welcome to all the honorable attendees, from academics, researchers and experts, and we hope that your participation will be a quality addition to the pathways of sustainable research and development, and that this conference will achieve its goals of exchanging knowledge and promoting scientific cooperation among peoples.

● I hope that this conference will contribute to finding solutions to many problems that the sectors of the country are suffering.

In his welcoming speech, Mr. Dean of the Samawa Technical Institute said:

●We meet today to share insights, to soar into the horizons of discovery, and to strive together to solve the challenges facing humanity, from climate change, technological advancements, health and social issues.

● My brothers and dears, your presence today in Al-Muthanna Governorate, to attend our fourth conference in its series and the first in all its details

●The first in the number of participating countries which reached (15) fifteen countries.

●The first of the number of researches received, which resulted in (700) researches in different hubs of the conference.

● First in terms of the number of residents who participated in the evaluation process, where their number reached more than (3000) residents,

● The first of its kind in which research processes are received, evaluated, and collected electronically, completely paperless, and that is in accordance with the principles of sustainability and preservation of the environment where all processes were conducted electronically.

● The first to be sponsored by four global publishing roles (Tyler & Francis, Sprenker, OICC, and AIP).

● The first in terms of the number of researches accepted for publication in Scopes and the total number is 400 researches.

●The first in which all Iraqi governmental universities participated from the far north to the far south.

● The first will be attended by five keynote speakers, three of whom are international professors.

This was only with the good instructions from the excellency minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naeem Alaboudy, and with the support and support of the president of the university and his assistant.

And members of the parliament in the province.

And the great effort put in by the committees to show this conference the fruitful cooperation and constructive by the local government consisting of Mr. Governor, his deputies, Mr. Chairman, the council members, and all the former members of the local government who supported the construction and development of the institute.

● We thank everyone who contributed to the conference from organizers, partners, supporters, and especially the participants who traveled distances to enrich our sessions with their knowledge.

It should be noted that the conference’s axes addressed important topics related to modern technology, which included four keynote axes:

• Focus One: Renewable and Sustainable Energy

• Second Focus: Science and Environment

• Third axis: Advanced Material Sciences

• Fourth axis: General Engineering

With the participation of a number of prestigious researchers in the field of expertise as well as keynote speakers in the inaugural session from the two mentioned universities.

And the specialized sessions for research of the conference will be held in the halls of the Technical Institute.

The conference included a meeting of several words for participating universities and showing a documentary, the conference also witnessed a broad presence of media and journalists of the university to share the events of the conference.
