As part of the comprehensive preparations for the new academic year and the implementation of the guidance programme, the Psychological Counselling and Educational Guidance Unit at the Polytechnic College, Babylon, held an extended meeting with the guidance liaison officers from all academic and administrative departments.
The meeting included a discussion of the unit’s strategies and implementation plans for the current academic year, the identification of counselling and educational priorities for students, and an exchange of views and proposals on how to address obstacles and problems and ensure an exemplary university environment and code of conduct.
The meeting focused on the allocation of tasks and mechanisms for direct coordination between the liaison officers and the unit, as well as on enhancing the role of counsellors in providing psychological and academic support to students – particularly new students – in order to strengthen academic discipline, develop students’ skills and reinforce positive behaviours.
