As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the scientific knowledge and practical skills of students and staff, the Department of Forensic Science at the Babylon Polytechnic College organised, for the 2026/2027 academic year and in collaboration with the Centre for Continuing Education, a specialised training course comprising the following integrated modules:
(Legal Responsibility of the First Responder – Duties of the Judicial Officer at the Crime Scene – Documentation and Preparation of Official Reports).
The course addressed the legal and procedural frameworks applicable to first responders at the scene of an incident, the core duties of judicial officers in dealing with crime scenes and preserving evidence, as well as the scientific and practical mechanisms for accurate documentation and the drafting of official reports in accordance with current regulations and legislation.
The Faculty emphasised that the aim of organising this training course is to enrich the participants’ scientific and practical knowledge, to qualify staff, and to equip them with modern legal, technical and practical expertise in line with the requirements of the specialisation, thereby contributing to the enhancement of academic and professional performance.
