As part of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of awareness and deepen ethical and legal understanding amongst the university community, the Polytechnic College / Babel organised a specialised awareness-raising workshop entitled:
(Human Rights: Dignity • Equality • Freedom • Justice) under the slogan ‘Together to raise awareness and safeguard human dignity’.
The workshop highlighted the fundamental principles of human rights and the core pillars upon which they are based, namely the preservation of human dignity, the achievement of equality, the guarantee of freedoms, and the promotion of the values of justice within society and academic institutions.
The workshop included a review of the legal and international frameworks relating to the protection of human rights, and discussed the importance of fostering social and cultural awareness amongst students and staff, thereby contributing to the building of a promising society based on respect for rights and duties and good citizenship.
