As part of efforts to strengthen scientific cooperation in the field and enrich the academic programme with practical expertise, the Department of Forensic Evidence Techniques at the Polytechnic College / Babel at the Middle Euphrates Technical University hosted, on Tuesday 27 October 2026, a multi-disciplinary expert specialising in forensic evidence from the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Babel Health Directorate to conduct a specialised workshop entitled:
(The Detection of Forensic Evidence through Forensic Medicine).
The workshop was of great scientific and practical significance, having successfully linked theoretical academic curricula with real-world, practical applications. It saw outstanding attendance and engagement from the heads and lecturers of the college’s academic departments, as well as representatives from the Department of Forensic Evidence Techniques and the Department of Legal Administration Techniques.
The attendees enriched the workshop with valuable academic contributions addressing the technical and legal dimensions of how forensic medical reports are adopted as conclusive evidence that supports the judiciary and the delivery of justice. The Faculty reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to organising such events, which enhance the practical skills of both students and academic staff.
