Under the patronage of the Dean of the Polytechnic College – Babylon at the Middle Euphrates Technical University, Assistant Professor Dr Ali Najah Kazim, the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at the college organised an awareness and educational event to mark World Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
The festival included a scientific lecture addressing the importance of early detection of the disease and ways to prevent it, as well as the role of ongoing health awareness in enhancing the chances of recovery and prompt treatment, and in reducing health risks, given that it is a widespread disease requiring intensive community education.
The festival’s activities included the distribution of symbolic pink ribbons to show support and raise awareness, alongside the provision of health guidance and information designed to foster a culture of prevention and encourage women to undergo the necessary regular check-ups. The event saw widespread engagement from the audience and the university community, reaffirming the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to adopting activities and initiatives that contribute to serving the community and promoting public health.
