To commemorate the martyrdom of Lady Fatima al-Zahra’ (peace be upon her), the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, and to reflect on her noble life, her timeless deeds, and the values of faith, patience, chastity and sacrifice that she embodied, the Polytechnic College / Babyl, part of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, held a memorial service and an academic panel discussion in the Al-Mutanabbi Hall at the college’s headquarters.
The ceremony featured the participation of the Husayni preacher, Sheikh Hassan al-Silaawi, who delivered a lecture and, during the interactive seminar, explored the religious, humanitarian and educational dimensions of the life of the pure and noble Lady (peace be upon her), calling for inspiration to be drawn from her lessons, examples and noble character in the development of the self and society, and in the promotion of noble moral values within the university environment.
The memorial ceremony was attended by a gathering of staff and students, underscoring the College’s ongoing commitment to commemorating religious and cultural occasions that contribute to the consolidation of Islamic and noble humanitarian values within the university community.
